# Preserve assigned curriculum versions

Students retain their assigned curriculum version when the school publishes a revised curriculum. Revised academic requirements form a new version, and moving an existing student to another version must be deliberate rather than automatic. This prevents new subject requirements or prerequisites from unexpectedly changing existing students' requirements, at the cost of maintaining multiple curriculum versions concurrently.
