# Share subject units and classify per curriculum

For the MVP, a shared subject has one credit-unit value across courses, while its Major/Minor classification belongs to each curriculum requirement. This lets the same subject serve as Major in one course and Minor in another without duplicating the subject or separating otherwise shared subject classes. Per-curriculum unit overrides are excluded from the MVP, keeping subject sharing and credit totals predictable; revisit this decision if a school requires differing awarded units for the same subject.
